Wow, that's a fascinating interview.  I think I'll post about it on the front page later.

I wish he would have taken his advice.  :P

Christopher Nolan is a filmmaker that paces himself. He thinks everything through before beginning a project. M. Night used to pace himself, but lately, it's as if he doesn't care anymore. His huge following is shinking with every person that views his three recent films (some may argue 4), most notably The Last Airbender.

I'm a sad fan. :'(

advice is a funny thing - it can turn against one as much as help another
keep an open mind...

but in this case, well... yeah, the advice would have helped a lot

It is nice to read about Noland giving some advice to M. Night. I hope he does learn a few things from Noland since he did make a blockbuster hit. Nice article. :)

I just saw tlA and I LIKED it. But I'm pretty disappointed though, because the trailers looked like we were going to have Nights personal Lord of the Rings and now...this...it wasn't very good, but it definitley wasn't as bad as the critics say.
For example the action, exspecially in the blue spirit sequence, was one of the best directed ones I ever saw....
But for now, Night's a better director than writer, so my dream would be, referring to the interview, Nolan writes the script, Night makes the directing. Of course Howard scores it, and we would have the best movie EVER!! (okay...we would have to add tarantino for the dialogue for making it really the best film ever....but this would be strange:
"Does the firelord look like a @#$%&?"  "...what?!"    "Say what again, I dare you, I double dare you motherbender, say what again and I'll get you a second scar!".........okay, I think we're taking JUST Nolan and Night ;-))
