Title: I Own Wide Awake
Post by: Dr Malcolm Crowe on November 18, 2005, 10:29:07 PM
It took me 3 months to commit to spending the $15 for the dvd.
It is obviously very different from his 4 more well-known films, but a lot of the shots and scenes have the Shyamalan stamp on them (unique framing and long, unedited scenes).
I give the movie a C+
Well worth the money for anyone who claims they are a shyamalan fan.

Has anyone else seen this movie too? I figured that most of you have, but this forum has no discussions. If you have seen it, what are your opinions about it?

I've just finished watching this film on VHS and I think it's brilliant! You can feel what I call "the Night spirit" throughout the whole movie.I thought it was much older.I liked so much! It's quite different from the other 4 films,of course. But the feelings, ideas, emotions that make you love a Shyamalan movie are all here,I'm sure. ;)

Have had it quite some time now and it's a pretty good movie but nothing special, if Night didn't direct this movie there is no way either of you or i would have purchased a movie with Rossie O Donnell on the cover with a baseball glove. I would give it a 5/10.

Yes, I would not own this movie if it wasn't directed by M. Night. But I am a totally M. Night freak and recommend it to all who claim to be.

actually I must be in the minority because I absolutely love the movie and I put it right up there with the rest.

I do too. Thought it was brilliant. Not scary like the later films, and the music was terrible, but I blame Miramax for that.  :D

HIGHLY recommended.
