I think I might go with something like The Pale Man.

That's cool, there are a few other script writers scattered throughout the site, I am one of them.   ;D

Yes, I saw Signs, the first Night film, and went, "That looks like fun, and interesting.  I want to become a filmmaker.  Night is very much of an influence in my filmmaking.  ;D

For me..Night is less of an influence and more of an inspiration.  he makes me enjoy writing, respect writing and want to write.  however, i don't feel that I can do justice by taking much influence from him because he's so deep...the only influence is that i want to leave the audience with a feeling of hope and fulfillment...i have one concept that is in queue (probably my next project) that would resemble a Night film - ...

i think the thing that inspires me about Night movies are the way he shows a true arc of character...and you always identify with the main character very strongly.

We should form a group, or forum, or something where us writers can get together and exchange ideas and advice.  Anybody interested?  ??? I understand what you say about Night's deep characters and not imitating him because he's so deep.  I veiw it as a challenge, to aspire to direct and write more like him.  HIs scriptwriting is so good and precise I like to learn from them.

yes to the group...

I guess what i really mean is that his genre/style is nothing like what I write in.  his craftiness and character depth is an influence i would say, but not his genre..i'm not looking to imitate anything he's done.

I understand, what genre do you like to write in.  I'll start here, a call out, who would like to start a forum, or group where the script writers can get together and work on stuff, constructive criticism, exchanging of ideas, that kind of thing.
