James Newton Howard-2008
« on: January 22, 2008, 09:45:46 AM »
Hey, I was wondering if anybody new about any other soundtracks that James Newton Howard is doing this year.  So far I have The Dark Knight, The Happening, Defiance, The Risk Pool, and Confessions of a Shopoholic.  That's all I've got, wondering if anybody else out there had heard of some others he was doing.

Nope.  Sure wish I did though.  I dont know how he does all the stuff he does now?  The man barely has time to breath.

I know, he must be so busy, or just the greatest composer of all time.  I found out the information about the soundtracks he is doing next year from IMDB.  He is one of the best movie composers of all time.

I am really glad that he is so busy, as it means that movies are getting the highest calibre of soundtrack.  :) He is an extremely talented composer.

Unfortunately I do not know of any other soundtracks that he might be doing, and IMDb would be my source to refer to as well.   ;)

No that makes sense that that is all he is doing.  Still, I just hope he doesn't burn out.

Very good point.  I agree, it would be a great shame if he did burn out.

O well, I'm sure he knows how to manage his time and he'll be wise with it.

I don't think James can burn out. His career is so impressive.

Plus he has a really great team behind him that's been in formation for the past couple years.

Yea, he's so good.  I think everyone can burn out, just James Newton Howard isn't likely too.

Seeing how he worked like a lab rat on King Kong, I don't see how his current schedule would burn him out.

Yea, King Kong even burned out Peter Jackson, which the Lord of the Rings didn't even manage to do.

James also had 3 films comes out on Christmas day in 07. That makes 4 films in December and a total of 5 films for the 2 month span of December and January.

Man, that is ridiculous.  James Newton Howard is crazy, and also probably the most wanted composer in Hollywood right now.  That's just amazing.
