Best Night DVD Menu
« on: March 03, 2008, 09:13:41 AM »
This is so sad that I am putting up a thread like this but Rohan's signature inspired me to.  What's your favorite DVD menu for Night's films.  Mine is Unbreakable, it's so unique, so comic bookish, but yet has some depth to it with the moving and faded quotes from the movie.
I see the world Lucius Hunt, just not the way you see it.

I think I like The Village's best. It has amazing lighting and music in it that creates a great atmosphere, building up the expectation.

I loved Lady in The Water's The Cove with that shot from on high.

Def. Unbreakable!  "Real men don't get killed like that."  "I work at the University Stadium... I'm a security guard."   ;D

The "Signs" menu is really cool too.

When it goes dark, and you can vaguely see Merrill and the two kids sitting there with the hats, but at first don't know what it is, really spooked me for a moment. I thought they were outlines of aliens or something unnatural, looking kind of dead, with something maybe hooked up to their brains.  :D

I think for me it would be The Village, though I don't honestly remember Unbreakable's, as it's been so long since I've seen it.  They're all pretty good though, and really set the mood for the viewing experience.
"See what you have to ask yourself is what kind of person are you? Are you the kind that sees signs, sees miracles? Or do you believe that people just get lucky?"

I'm a "Signs" person.

1. The Village. During the Extra Features there is a loud noice after a few minutes. I was really scared!
2. Unbreakable. Nice setting with good music.
3. Signs. Like said before, the blurry image of Merril, Bo and Hess.

Hmm... tough one. Really.

I like the Signs menu with the baby monitor because that object in itself evokes so much of the suspense in the film.

I like The Village menu in the "Deconstructing the Village" featurette. The sound of the crackling fire is so moody.

I love the Lady in the Water menu in the "Reflections of Lady in the Water" portion. The music with the lightning over The Cove entrance sign. So cool.
