I doubt it, Night hasn't had a 2-disc DVD since Unbreakable. There probably isn't a need for it. Of course, I would love for there to be hours of extras, but if it's just the usual 40-50 mins - it should be able to fit on 1 disc, so why waste money to put it on 2?

*UPDATE*   I just read that Fox is giving "What Happens in Vegas" a 2-Disc release (which contains a 'digital copy') -- so maybe there is hope for a 2-Disc release of The Happening.

I don't think The Happening has really much intresting bonus material which cannot be placed on the same disc as the movie. So a one-disc release might be the only release. Perhaps that a large scaled movie like the Airbender trilogy gets a 2-disc release per movie?
Though, I already look forward to The Happening on DVD!

October 7, 2008 will release on Blu-ray.

Here are some details about it.

Deleted Scenes with Introduction by M. Night Shyamalan," a "The Hard Cut" featurette, a "I Hear You Whispering" featurette, "The Happening - Visions Of The Happening: A Making Of," "A Day For Night" featurette, an "Elements Of A Scene" featurette, a "Gag Reel," and "Trailers."

The Blu-ray edition will have all of the above as well as: a "Digital Copy" of the film, "Train Shooting" featurette, and a "DBOX" feature - D-BOX Motion Code? system creates real-life motion in your seat that?s perfectly synced to the action you see on screen.

MSRP is $39.98.

Hi,
I don't really know when we'll have this DVD in Spain, I hope soon, but normally we have to wait more than you.
I wanted to ask you about that 1 hour bonus extra: Do you know what it's about? New end, cut scenes? Will we find some answers?
Personally I love the film how it is, even when the cut scenes give sometimes more information about ppossible "holes" in the story.
In this case I like how the story is and I'm just curious about what that hour will show us.

Okay, on british amazon they have three versions up for pre-order:

1) Blu-Ray
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Happening-Blu-ray-Zooey-Deschanel/dp/B001EY5VJG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1221728909&sr=8-2
2) DVD
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Happening-Zooey-Deschanel/dp/B001CV18SY/ref=sr_1_48?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1221728975&sr=8-48
3) DVD + Digital Copy (???)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Happening-Disc-Bonus-Digital-Copy/dp/B001EY5VNW/ref=sr_1_25?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1221728932&sr=8-25

As I don't have a Blu-Ray Player I've never wondered what the digital copy is.
But now that I have to decide between DVD and DVD with Digital Copy.. Can someone please explain me what that is? :)))

The digital copy is pretty much what it sounds like, a digital copy for your computer. It is a file that  is easily transferable to your computer or iPod, etc. - so they say at least.
