I understand what you're saying kkehoe5, other people I know have said that.
I agree, a sequel to Unbreakable would be great, but what that interview said was that they'd be interested, but that doesn't mean that they will.
I see the world Lucius Hunt, just not the way you see it.

interesting...
See the villain's larger eyes insinuating a just-off-normal perspective on how they see the world? I see signs Lucius Hunt; just not as you see dead people. I am so very happy we saw..each other, and no I will not tell you what color love is. Stop asking.

Careful with IMDB Pro-people put stuff up there and sometimes it's just rumors.  Did you read the interview where he talked about an Unbreakable sequel?

Unbreakable doesn't need a sequel to me.
I'm also afraid of a Matrix-effect (the first great, the sequels not so good).

I agree, the Matrix sequels added very little the original.

Interesting. Let's see TLA first. M.Night is pretty busy.

I think he should make the sequel...In my opinion, you aren't looking at it the right way if you say no because it was never a comic book movie. Although it is correct that it isn't a comic book movie, it still had all the "Superhero Mythology"; for example, the hero became who he is with the help of the "eventual" villian, and there was the main female character (Mrs. Dunn) and the main male character (Dunn himself), to provide the one-hundred percent balance to the story, just to name two of the many examples there are of the "Superhero Mythology". The film was supposed to show you what it would be like if superheros really existed; it wold not be like superman...In short, it wold make scene for their to be just one sequel; because now that he knows who he is, we can see him, and again, in a one-hundred percent realistic manner, in action against the bad guys.

The question is, if he did make a sequel, would it be a new idea, or the other two parts of his original script?

I read yesterday on Imdb that there is with out a doubt going to be a two; but unfortuneately,  I didn't get to read the whole thing, so I don't know if he is planning to come back for it, but if somebody does know, please, come out and tell us. I am the kind of person that would give any film a chance, but none the less, I hope to death that he comes back for it.

P.S. Unfortunetly, we are going to have to wait till 2012, or at least that is what it looks like for now, the film is still in the development stage so who know when. I can't wait to see it!:)

I'd be thrilled if M. Night created another Unbreakable movie. I started writing my own script for it...that should tell you how much I'd love to see a sequel.

I wouldn't even try writing a script, for fear of totally ruining it.

I hear you. Unbreakable is an amazing movie. It is my all-time favorite. But it is almost irresistible. It is so much fun imagining what happens next....that is the question. If you can answer that...Wow!

The reason a sequel based on the rest of the script might work is because most sequels are written after the fact, just trying to capitalize on the money made.  Part of the reason the Two Towers was so good was because it wasn't a sequel but a continuation of the first movie.
