I don't think that's how the project is going to work. Night is looking for people to create screenplays off of his ideas.

That make sense. Now the way I see, they might just look for writers.

Alright, I see, that makes a lot more sense now.

Even though they look for the writers. Are they going to be writers who wrote movies before or they going to be hiring fresh writers also?

Does anyone actually know what subjects he's got going? I love to write, I'd be willing to take a shot at this if I don't have to be near Phillie (I live in Wisconsin). Hell, if came down to a job sort of thing, I wouldn't mind moving to Phillie for awhile to make it happen. I think that would be awesome...

Well, anything I should say. As long as its different and unique. M.Night doesn't want to repeat himself by working on something he already did. So if you want to write you must write something totaly different to get his attention.

But don't you have to wait for his ideas?

Yes. Again who knows he may accept scripts and ideas too. I hope he does.

I think I'd pass out, then I'd go back and make sure every little detail was right in the script.

NIGHT'S DEVIL

If you made it through THE HAPPENING (it took me two attempts), perhaps you were thinking that maybe M. Night Shyamalan should take a break from writing and directing.

Turns out that's actually the case, to an extent. Shyamalan is producing a new series of flicks called "The Night Chronicles", based on his own concepts (and twist endings, one assumes) but written and directed by others. And hopefully containing none of his "acting".

First up is DEVIL, a supernatural thriller that will be directed by John and Andrew Dowdle (QUARANTINE) from a script by Brian Nelson (30 DAYS OF NIGHT), based on Shyamalan's original story. No other details are known, other than the movie is the first of three planned "Night Chronicles" and is aiming at a commercially palatable PG-13 rating.

Don't worry, ShyamFans -- he's keeping busy behind the camera, just not on his own material. He's currently making a live-action movie based on the anime AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER

That's so cool, I just noticed it on the main site.  Looks like he's definately going for a scary PG-13 with those directors and writers, which is fine by me.  I can't wait to find out what it's about.
