"Aang aint white". Saving the world with postage.
« on: December 14, 2008, 09:59:42 AM »
I wanted to tell you, guys that someone in livejournal decided to made a letter campaing for complaining about the decision. The people who wants to tell the movie team that he/she isn?t pleased about the cast, and wants them to change it, should enter in this site:
http://aang-aint-white.livejournal.com/646.html
Basicaly, we must send a letter to
Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall
c/o Paramount Pictures Corporation
5555 Melrose Ave
Los Angeles, CA 90038

complaining in a very educated mood and telling them our reasons and that we will not support the movie with our money, in the web there is an example, and then, if you want you should post the letter and a photo of the letter in the livejournal page (you dont need to be register). We could also post the photo and the letter here, later I will post mine ;)
C?mon, lets do it!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol. lol. lol.
tahahah i actually laughed when i read that website.
lawl. like paramount would give a crap about letters sent by people complaining about the cast,
what's done is done people. they don't care if you dont support it, just don't watch the movie if you honesty already hate it just because of the cast.

"The actors who will play the main four characters of "The Last Airbender," the live action Avatar film, have been announced. And all of them are white."
lol that kinda sounds racist. u people have a problem with whiteys? jkjk (: (half asian here [:)
i am disappointed with the casting too, especially with Jessie McCartney having a possibility to be chosen, ewww.
but, oh well. i will judge once the trailer comes out (: and once i see an actual foto of the Noah dude.

btw Leggy, you are very pretty (:
haha im straight too, trust me.

hey and besides, shouldnt we also be kinda angry with Bryan and Michael too?
they also approve the actors since they are the head ones who created the series.

Well, not necessarily, you shouldn't be mad at them, they really didn't have control of the auditioning/casting. When I spoke to Mr.Bryan at NYCC he said Paramount was in charge of all that. (That was back in April.)

See the villain's larger eyes insinuating a just-off-normal perspective on how they see the world? I see signs Lucius Hunt; just not as you see dead people. I am so very happy we saw..each other, and no I will not tell you what color love is. Stop asking.

Wait, do we know that Aang's actor is white? Does anyone have a picture of him? For all we know he could look Asian, just because someone's name is Noah doesn't mean they're white.
Also, IMO, Aang is the most Caucasian looking character in the series, and the one who I mind the least that his actor is white (if he is white). Katara and Sokka are definitely not Caucasian, so their actors were more of a surprise.
I will be going to see this movie in July unless I hear that the actors are beyond terrible (in which case I'll wait for the DVD) or unless the price of movie tickets gets so high by 2010 that it'll cost me $20 just to get in :) (in which case I will also wait for the DVD).
