Where is everyone?
« on: December 22, 2009, 03:42:40 PM »
This forum is slowly dying. No posts anymore and no members anymore. Can we do something about it. May be we should change the look of the site and the forum to draw more attention. I know there lots M.Night fans out there.

Let's make it better.

This happend about 6 months before The Happening was released too.
They will come back and new people will sign up when TLA was released ;-)

Anyway, I'm still here. Reading new posts almost every day, but I often have nothing to say, so I don't.

I'm trying to get back on this site more often, but sometimes I'm just to busy.  Also, it seems like most of the members are younger kids in the Avatar section, which is fine, but not as much going on about his other films.

personally, this is smack in the middle of school season
(even avatar fans have to learn about Algebra, etc. sometime)

as you mentioned, many members are avatar folk so they'll probably return right before the movie comes out and continue throughout the summer

make no mistake, i still check the news on the home page but i don't have time to check the forums

but you probably figured out everything i just wrote anyway

Yeah, I agree with you Moonrise, sometimes homework is just too much for people, plus, they do want to hang out with their friends.

Some of the replies listed above makes sense to me....If someone introduces a pretty good topic...I think that will help.but it won't be the 'magic bullet.'. Rarely is there anything I can think of that is linear. Peaks, valleys....and whatever is in-between...is a part of the big picture.

This might be a bit extreme, but has anyone here considered advertising?  Maybe someone could make a document filled with "business card" that anyone can print, cut out, and give to friends... ::)

Lol, okay maybe that's a little too much... but it'd still be fun to do! :D

Someone should make a Shyamalan magazine! :o  We could make it a yearly issue!

But what would you put in a Shyamalan magazine?

Pictures of his face :D, some news about his latest movie, and maybe a poster that you can pull out... :P

It could be like one of those scroll type magazines, or maybe like a reader's digest size but only a few pages long... ;)

I just feel like there wouldn't be a whole lot to put in it.

there are plenty of good posts in here to mine for articles for a shyamalan magazine for a long time.
See the villain's larger eyes insinuating a just-off-normal perspective on how they see the world? I see signs Lucius Hunt; just not as you see dead people. I am so very happy we saw..each other, and no I will not tell you what color love is. Stop asking.

A Shyamalan annual magazine would be pretty cool.  After all, there are magazines for Heroes, Lost and Stargate, among others.  There are interviews with creators, cast and crew.  There are also articles that delve into themes, screenplays, etc.  It wouldn't be too difficult to create a magazine about Shyamalan.

With regard to the growth of the community, we've seen so much spam that I made it so I have to approve everyone until I can find a better solution.  I just went through and approved a ton of new people, and all they have to do is approve their accounts and hopefully we get a bunch of new members!

I'm here!!! I'm eventually going to have my own personal website up, and I need to revamp my two fansites this summer, so I could link back as an affiliate. I'm afraid I don't get much traffic but every bit helps.

If my friends were into the internet and/or Shyamalan as much as I was I'd get them on here but none of them are forumers, and only a handful like Shyamalan very much, and none as much as me. :P

Need to start advertising. if you're member on forums about upcoming movies (ie airbender), post a link to this site in your comments. Talk about the site on your Social Networking pages and with friends IRL
