Is this seriously the budget??
« on: September 11, 2010, 03:57:31 PM »
I looked at the wikipedia page for Devil, and they have the budget listed at 10 million. I know Wikipedia isnt exactly creditable, but still if thats true this movie looks like its gonna be a pretty good success and a good profit for the Night chronicles. :D

Not quite sure how accurate that is, but I do remember reading that "The Night Chronicles" movies are meant to be very low-budget thrillers.

And, like you pointed out, during this time of the year when people don't go to the movies as much, a 10-million dollar movie will most likely make its budget back.  So it might actually be a smart idea in the long run.

Ya if its good, i think it will make around 80 mil USA, 70 mil overseas for 150 total. If its bad then id say 20 mil USA, 18 mil overseas still making back its budget. I think choice 1 is going to happen :D

Yay. I don't see how it can't be a success with that low of budget. Opening weekend should make it all back.

Oh wait i have to take marketing into account. So marketing should be what 20mil? 30mil total isnt bad.

I think Devil will most likely end up around 75 mil worldwide. Unless like i said early it turns out to be really good, then i'd say 155 mil worldwide.

Well you just sold your tagline for 10 million. How convenient. Now you can make a low-budget movie.
See the villain's larger eyes insinuating a just-off-normal perspective on how they see the world? I see signs Lucius Hunt; just not as you see dead people. I am so very happy we saw..each other, and no I will not tell you what color love is. Stop asking.

Actually I was thinking about making my friend's webcomic into a movie, but a movie about cosplayers would be fun too. lol
