Devil: Fun and Trivia - Blu-ray/DVD
« on: October 14, 2010, 01:32:15 AM »
Number 666 references: the building number is 333 (666/2), the elevator number is 6, and stops on floors 23 to 42 (2*3=6, 4+2=6)

In its first weekend of release in the United States it was able to gain back its entire production budget.

In some theaters, the staff would play a prank on the movie goers where the opening credits would role, but the movie would then stop playing and the screen would go completely dark. Elevator music would then begin to softly play, and then the movie would start up again. The movie goers would think this was part of the film.

All five characters who get on the elevator have the color red in common: the Mechanic's satchel, the Old Woman's hair, the Young Woman's nails, the insignia on the Guard's uniform and the Salesman's tie are all red.

The floor numbers 23 and 42 may also be a refference to the numbers in the TV-show 'Lost':
4 8 15 16 23 42

I don't know anything about "Lost", but I love these fun and trivia about films. Specially about M.Night films.

Does anyone know when the DVD is supposed to be released in Holland? 'Cause I have the weird feeling that the release is really late, because the movie hasn't been released in theatres in Belgium yet (March 23th) and that people can buy the DVD here before it hits the theatre...

WOW!

Since the theatrical release date is March 23rd for Belgium, I think the DVD should release by April in your country. That's just my guess.  ;D

Finally, they've set a date for the DVD release:
June 16th.

9 months after the theatrical release...

Almost a year. At least they are going to release it and the release date isn't that far. :)

In Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, as you may remember, the Answer to The Ultimate Question Of Life, the Universe and Everything is simply "42," the numeric produced using the hypercomputer, Deep Thought, after a very long computation time (7.5 million years). And if you have seen the movie The Number 23, then you know all KINDS of things about THAT number.
 Interesting facts on 23:  http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread398136/pg1

See the villain's larger eyes insinuating a just-off-normal perspective on how they see the world? I see signs Lucius Hunt; just not as you see dead people. I am so very happy we saw..each other, and no I will not tell you what color love is. Stop asking.
