When Ivy holds the log in the forest.
« on: December 04, 2008, 11:08:14 AM »
I was watching this movie last night. I enjoyed it very much, well I bought my home theatre system (bose) awesome. Anyways, when Ivy falls in that muddy hole and she climbs then holds the log. The dead tree. Then music starts, it has a meaning somehow.

Did M.Night made that log as a symbol? If its a symbol, I think when she holds it, it could be Luscious's hand.

Not sure, I'm going to have to watch the movie before I comment on it.
I see the world Lucius Hunt, just not the way you see it.

Yeah, okay. Its a dead three. Branches are long gone. Only the remainings have pointy edges and she holds it reverently. It is a symbol of Luscious. His movies has lots of clues.

no..it was just foreshadowing for when she finds the same log later..she recognizes the shape of it so she knows where she is when she gets back there in the chase.
See the villain's larger eyes insinuating a just-off-normal perspective on how they see the world? I see signs Lucius Hunt; just not as you see dead people. I am so very happy we saw..each other, and no I will not tell you what color love is. Stop asking.

I can only agree with this guy!

Actually, when it comes to The Village...the only thing you can do is agree with Namaste!

That makes sense. I was thinking of the log as INJURED Luscious.

But how would a log represent injured Lucius.  I think I agree with Namaste.

Like almost dead and she is holding a hand.

I have always thought of that as the same meaning Namaste gave. Later, when the monster is after her she finds that tree wood and she remembers that tree type. Just like when she climbed out of the pit. Then when the monster runs towards her, she remembers the pit is close by. She then tricks the monster and he falls into the pit.

Well do have him come forward.
