Anybody else want to join the duh-train, we've got three in a row now.  Still, I think my question got answered about wether there are friendly alien movies.

Has Spielberg made any 'good' alien movies lately?

Not to my knowledge, there haven't been to many alien movies out lately, Cloverfield and Alien Versus Predator: Requiem are all that I can remeber, and those weren't by Spielberg.

Those aren't aliens in A.I., they're advanced robots.

I had always heard that movie was really good, but was it that bad.  I have never seen it.

I did not enjoy it. There are some really cool moments, and some great visuals - but overall it's muddy storytelling IMO. It gets boring pretty fast, the goal of the hero is drilled into your head, and somethings are just really unclear and poorly told.

At least that's how I feel about it.  ;)

Allright Dr Malcom Crowe, I guess I won't bother to watch it, thanks for the advice.  Hey MrStone, cool little bit of information.

Spielberg has made some of the BEST alien movies--ever! Each one has it's own feel, and each one is riveting! I cannot believe people don't see this!  Spielberg is arguably the BEST director of all time--definitely, at THIS time! Shyamalan could learn a lot from his work.

Yea, I guess so, I would just want Night to retain his own style of film.

Hey, I loved AI.  I suggest you see it. And I don't think they over-emphasized the goal of the hero. It was the search for his creator and the search for his own self-actualization. He wanted to become real more than anything, and to be loved by his father and mother as though he were their own. It was the search for God. It was the search for meaning in life - the purpose for his existence. And isnt that the goal for all of us? And shouldnt that be the center focus for all of our lives? If it isnt, then we might as well just lay down and die right here and now.
See the villain's larger eyes insinuating a just-off-normal perspective on how they see the world? I see signs Lucius Hunt; just not as you see dead people. I am so very happy we saw..each other, and no I will not tell you what color love is. Stop asking.
