In the scene where Graham takes his flashlight and goes into the field, he can hear the aliens around him. He also sees a leg. (very creepy! ) At this point the aliens have the perfect chance to strike. Why don't they? Anybody?

 it wasn't time yet!

well, i think it's because they had set a date to ambush the whole world at the same time and if they started attacking people before that time then people would start getting suspicious.  that means that people would have more time to prepare for them coming!

you say that it's a perfect time to strike, but that's only in the case of graham, not the whole world...

did that make any sense?  cause reading over it i'm thinking it didn't!
OH MY GOD...i was at a placebo concert last night and i was second row standing right in front of brian...then i got steve's drumstick!  HELL YEAH!!!

Now that I think about it, I think I have answer to my own question. In addition to what afi village said about they had a set date, I think they musta been still scoping out the area. When Merill goes to that place to take a look at enlisting for the army, there's that weirdo general guy who talks about how the aliens have come in to survey the area. "It's in old battle tactic," he says. So maybe the aliens were still unsure of themselves. Maybe. Possibly. Could be.

I think in this movie aliens are scared as much as humans. In the Brasilian video for example the alien try to hide himself behind a bush;in the basement they make a lot of noise to keep Merrill and Graham busy so that Morgan is alone;moreover,at the very end,the alien without a finger grabs the child, who is very weak, and never attacks Merrill, but tries to keep a certrain distance from him. They want to attack humans, but they don't know them:that's what makes them frightened,in my opinion.

I agree, the aliens WERE just as afraid of us as we were of them. Possibly because they already knew their weakness was heavily abundant on the planet. But they did seem desperate didnt they.

They say this one has a surprise ending.

I'm pretty sure that stuff is poison.  The poison didn't kill Morgan because the airway to his lungs was closed due to his severe asthma attack.  It was Morgan's medicine that stopped his asthma.

Yea, great movie, what Legolas said is correct, it was poison but his airways were closed because of the asthma attack.

Well I guess that goes by what you want "mistakes" to mean.

Yea, what exactly do you mean, though if I remember correctly I can't think of any mistakes either.

There are always small goofs in movies. Whether it be continuity issues, or picture and audio mistakes. Signs has a fair share of that type of stuff.
