Wayward Pines

On Tuesday, January 8, 2012, FOX network, at the Television Critics Association winter TV previews announced that M.Night Shyamalan is developing a new event series, Wayward pines, for their network. The drama is inspired by Blake Crouche’s bestselling novel Pines, which follows the Secret Service agent, Ethan Burke as he tracks down two missing agents in a rural Idaho town. But as Ethan becomes more involved in the mysteries of Wayward Pines, Idaho, he moves farther away from everything he once knew.

The script for this intriguing thriller, which kind of reminds us of Twin Peaks, comes from Chad Hodge and it is set to be executive produced by Mr. Shyamalan, Ashwin Rajan, Chris Hodge and Donald De Line. Fox’s chairman, Kevin Reilly, in a statement, added that Wayward Pines and Blood Brothers, which is their other series written and will be executive produced by Bruce C. McKenna, are the two big ideas with big names and big talent that you can anticipate will be on our air in the next 12-24 months.

Are you excited for Wayward Pines?
