Lady in the Water seeks Extras!

M. Night Shyamalan, the white-hot writer and director of a series of suspense-horror films marked by their surprise endings, is looking for actors and extras to appear in his film about eccentric tenants living in a Philadelphia apartment building.

So, you were dazzled by “The Sixth Sense,” wowed by “Unbreakable,” shocked by “Signs” and maybe amazed by “The Village.”

Now you can be in “Lady in the Water.”

M. Night Shyamalan, the white-hot writer and director of a series of suspense-horror films marked by their surprise endings, is looking for actors and extras to appear in his film about eccentric tenants living in a Philadelphia apartment building.

Principal acting parts he is looking for include a black boy 10-12 years old, a white boy and a white girl age 8 or so, a Korean woman 55 or older, Spanish-speaking Latino men 55 and older, and Spanish-speaking Latino women in their 20s.

For extras, he is looking for all ethnicities and levels of acting experience, as long as they have an urban appearance.

A casting call will be held Thursday at the Wyndham Washington hotel, 1400 M St. N.W. in Washington. SAG members will be seen from 2 to 3 p.m. (be sure to bring your SAG cards), with nonunion actors seen from 3 to 7 p.m.
