New MPAA Ratings for ‘The Visit’

The micro-budget film, written and directed by Shyamalan himself, independently, now MPAA has rated it PG-13 for “disturbing thematic material including terror, violence and some nudity, and for brief language.”

Acquired by Universal Pictures, The Visit, is Shyamalan’s return to his roots – writing and directing freely, working on what he’s always great at – suspense, storytelling and directing.

‘The Visit’ focuses on a brother and sister who are sent to their grandparents’ remote Pennsylvania farm for a week long trip. Once the children discover that the elderly couple is involved in something deeply disturbing, they see their chances of getting back home are growing smaller every day.

Starring Kathryn Hahn and Ed Oxenhould, the pic is scheduled to hit the big screens on September 11, 2015.
