Night to make Small Film Next

M. Night ShyamalanAfter two $100 million+ budget films, Night is planning to do a small budget film next.  This is something that I’m looking forward to seeing.  We’ll see how long he will be able to stay away from the larger budget things, as we’ve heard this before, but here it is, straight from Night himself:

Huffington Post:

So, I’m trying to sit down and see if I want to do a really small movie next.

Honestly, I’d love to see you do a really small movie.
I am really leaning towards doing a hyper-small movie.

Like something on the festival circuit.
Yep. And that’s where my head is right now, by the way. I’m leaning towards that.

I’m excited about this, and wonder what the theme of this film is going to be.  What do you think?  What would you love to see from Night on a smaller film?

  1. Is it just me or does M. Night really do small movies no matter what type of a budget? If you look After Earth closely you notice it is a very very low budget Sci-fi movie unlike Star Trek 2 or Avengers movie type. Still I can’t wait for this one.

  2. I like M. Night Shyamalan’s films no matter what! He’s a great Director and I like his stories. They keep u thinking.

  3. My understanding is that After Earth 2 is already in pre-production, and due out in 2015. Is this not correct? I want the movie I heard about before, The Connected. I think that was the one with Bruce Willis and Gwyneth Paltrow.
