The shooting in Costa Rica was a smooth process for the whole crew. There were no major delays or anything except one day they had to halt the shooting due to heavy rainfall, and also a minor earthquake occured one day, which didn’t do any harm or damage to anything or anyone. After that they resumed their work. After Earth will hit the big screens on July 2013.

  1. i cant wait to see this movie. I’ve heard that its gonna be so good. I personaly think that, being Will Smith on it, it cant fail.

  2. As much as I love the fact that they are filming/filmed in Costa Rica, and the fact that I can’t wait to see the movie, I really hope they do a good job of cleaning up after themselves after filming is over and didn’t make any long term damages like other production crews have done in the past, Costa Rica is an awesome location to film this type of movies, the people respect the projects, local authorities are very cooperative and the landscape is just breath taking, but the most important thing to remember is that many of the locations where a lot of this filming takes place are protected biological reserves and national parks and should be respected and treated as such.
