M. Night Shyamalan Probably ‘Pulling His Hair Out’ Editing ‘Last Airbender,’ Says Aasif Mandvi
Monday, October 12th, 2009 by Specter“I’m sure he’s pulling his hair out somewhere in an edit room, but that’s the process,” laughed Aasif Mandvi, who plays Zhao, a nefarious member of the Fire nation and the rival to Dev Patel’s Prince Zuko.
“There’s a lot of martial arts, there’s a lot of really cool special effects and CGI and action,” explained Mandvi, who stopped by to chat with MTV News during the red carpet premiere of the Jude Law-starring “Hamlet” production on Broadway.

Herewith, high points of Philly, from six actors: Young Noah Ringer, who stars as Aang, dug the food at Pietro’s Coal Oven Pizza, took in the Liberty Bell and Franklin Institute, and enjoyed a Ride the Ducks tour.

Thursday, March 12th, 2009 by Dr Malcolm CroweAasif Mandvi, Shaun Toub and Cliff Curtis have joined the cast of M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender for Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies.
Mandvi (far left) will play the role of Commander Zhao, the ambitious and hot-tempered Fire Nation commander.
Toub (middle left), from Iron Man and Crash fame, was cast as Uncle Iroh, the retired Fire Nation general and devoted surrogate parent Zuko.
Curtis (middle right), of acclaimed films like Training Day and The Insider, will play the ruthless ruler Fire Lord Ozai.
In addition, Keong Sim (far right) has been cast in the role of Earthbending Father. Whatever role that is…
