Touchstone Pictures announced recently that director M. Night Shyamalan plans on releasing a “Director’s Cut” edition of his 2004 thriller “The Village.” The DVD is planned for release by the end of this year. Shyamalan says he will start the re-editing process after the release of his next film entitled “Lady in the Water” (July 21, 2006).

The film generated an estimated $11.96 million in consumer rental spending during its first week in release, or roughly 10.5% of its $114.2 million domestic box office take.

Friday, December 10th, 2004 by SpecterI’ve been working pretty hard on getting this site into shape so that I can start adding information to it. I’ve been using Dreamweaver MX 2004, and while the learning curve isn’t that high, it’s got some stylesheet changes that effect the programming of websites. It’s supposed to make things easier to update after it’s done, but so far it’s just been a pain for me to learn.
I’ve also re-skinned the forums, utilizing a skin I found on an Invision Board site, and editing all of the colors and images to fit the layout of the site.

‘Lady in the Water’ DVD Rumors and Tid-bits…
Monday, September 4th, 2006 by Dr Malcolm CroweAlthough ’Lady in the Water’ is just making it’s debut in many overseas markets, it has faded from many of the theaters in America. Thus the attention has turned towards the DVD release. ‘Lady in the Water’ DVD rumors are being talked about on many message boards across the Internet, and people are speculating about the release date, features, commentary, and other goodies. The Digital Bits is reporting in their “Rumor Mill” that ‘Lady’ is looking at a December 19th release date, and unconfirmed sources are saying that Shyamalan will be doing an audio commentary for the film. Shyamalan, who has somewhat spoken out against making commentary tracks for DVD’s, is said to be answering the critics during the commentary. Although I hope this doesn’t turn into Night going off on a rant against the critics, I am dying to hear him speak in detail about this absolutely wonderful movie. I can hear the giggles now
