Hold On Mr. Mathew Fox

Monday, February 21st, 2011 by Rohan

Happy Presidents Day Everyone! – It’s a beautiful sunny Monday morning in our city and  I took my hot cup of tea in my room and went online to check what’s really going on in the entertainment world. I came across this article about this actor “Mathew Fox.” I didn’t even knew the guy until I read the article and checked his IMDb list. Some of you may know him if you watch the show LOST, but I don’t watch that show, so I didn’t knew this guy actually existed.

You can read the article here. He is really angry, for he can’t the get the big roles in big movies that he fights for. He claims that Matt Damon gets all those roles and he is also angry because of 3D and also angry because he took his kid to watch “The Last Airbender” and he thinks the film is awful. And, he goes on to claim that M.Night Shyamalan hasn’t directed a good movie since “The Sixth Sense.” I find his remarks absurd and shocking. Like everyone else he takes on Shyamalan to get attention. I know everyone has their own opinion, but he is angry because of the roles he can’t get and angry because of mainstream film industry in the U.S.

What really bothers me is when someone like him who hasn’t done anything yet and never contributed to the cinema anything  goes on and opens the mouth and bashes another artist. He claims that he will be quitting acting. Well, Mr. Mathew Fox if you by any chance come across this article,  we all M.Night Shyamalan fans and everyone else would never notice your resignation anyway. And here is piece of advise, watch all Shyamalan films and all those actors in his films you won’t be getting to their level. Not even to the level of Haley Joel Osment.

A look back at Shyamalan’s ‘The Happening’

Thursday, November 25th, 2010 by Rohan

Let’s take few minutes out of our very hectic schedules and look back at M.Night Shyamalan’s The Happening one more time, but this time through the eyes of the auteur’s fan. Ever since the film’s release back in 2008, I wanted to write about this movie. You are probably wondering why am I a writing this now and what took me so long. I honestly changed my mind to write about it, but since most of the critics and people all over the internet is going totally negative about the filmmaker, I thought to have everyone to look back at the film.

The Happening is a thriller written, co-produced and directed by M.Night Shyamalan that follows a man, his wife, and his best friend along with his friend’s daughter, as they try to escape from an inexplicable natural disaster. The plot revolves around a mysterious neurotoxin that causes any person coming into contact with it to commit suicide.  -  Okay, so many laughed and still actually poking fun at this film’s plot. I remember the first day the film opened and me right there sitting in a dark room with other strangers watching the film, I hear some people actually talking with themselves wondering on what’s going on in this film? I view films differently may be that’s why, but the plot is not funny. I find it very interesting instead. If have you seen Alfred Hitchcock’s THE BIRDS, they go crazy for some unexplained reasons as well. Now, I am not comparing Shyamalan with Hitchcock, the reason I am bringing THE BIRDS as an example, for Shyamalan, on March 15, 2007 described The Happening as “a paranoia movie from the 1960s on the lines of The Birds and Invasion Of Body Snatchers.

Daniel Stamm to direct Twelve Strangers?

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010 by Rohan

The Last Exorcism director Daniel Stamm might be directing the next movie in The Night Chronicles series, Twelve Strangers, according to HeyUGuys.

The site was at a roundtable interview session with Daniel Stamm, where he revealed some information that falls in line with the format for The Night Chronicles series, where M. Night Shyamalan produces and comes up with an original premise for other writers and directors to take and make the film from. Here’s what he had to say:

“My next project is a supernatural thriller and it’s not going to be shot in documentary style…One of my favorite filmmakers in the world, who’s a legend, is producing it…an idea of his that another writer is writing and I’m going to direct. It has a twist in the ending, without giving away who it is.”

We reported back in June that Buried screenwriter Chris Sparling had been hired to write Twelve Strangers. The story revolves around twelve jurors who are deliberating a case that involves supernatural elements. The first movie in The Night Chronicles series, Devil, opens on September 17.

M. Night Shyamalan’s name was brought up at the roundtable session, along with other filmmakers like Ridley Scott, Christopher Nolan and David Lynch, when the journalists were asked to guess which filmmaker he would be working with. While Daniel Stamm did say that one of those guesses was correct, he would not confirm which one it was.

We will keep you guys updated with more news regarding  TWELVE STRANGERS.  Twelve Strangers comes to theatres 2012.
