  1. I want that DVD now!!!!! And after the sales, I’m sure that the producers will give a green light for the TLA 2!

  2. I have come to appreciate M. Shyamalan’s work for quite a while now. I already have already some films at home.
The Sixth Sense (I’ll say, back in 99 it seemed like everybody went to see that movie. I saw another film in 1999 before it, that went completely unknown. I still consider Stir of echoes as a good movie but I have to admit I am glad I saw it first … I understood how difficult it was not to to consider the Sixth Sense a “Top movie”.
    Saw Stuart Little !
Unbreakable was very different from The Sixth Sense I had to keep an open mind and not fall into the trap of having “high expectation” in order to appreciate it.
Didn’t go for Signs (I still saw some excerpts) … I must admit it was because Mel Gibson was in it. Even though I loved some of the films he had starred in, I already thought this actor was showing more and more violent behavior in the way he portrayed his characters … Just wasn’t interrested in it anymore.
The Village was very good. I liked the reflection it brought in terms of decisions we decide to make to protect ourselves or the ones we love but also in terms of should we be the ones having the right to make those decisions.
The Lady in the Water was delightful. A story, just the way I like them. A story to be told. The legend, the prophecy, the messenger, the beast, the hero … A story about ordinary people … and the the invitation to overcome failure, to beleive in ourselves and find the courage to carry on our lives with the dignity we are entittle to.

The Last Airbinder came out … I did’nt know anything about the avatar, the books or else. It was another great story I was about to be told. The music was beautiful.
I was mostly taken by the fact that the avatar was confronted by a choice he had to make, a responsibility he had to face. When time came, he ran away. Facing that choice again, he decided to overcome his emotions and face his destiny.
Now tell me: none of us are confronted with choices and resposabilities right ? And at times, none of us don’t feel like running away from them, or avoiding them for a few days, or feel the weight they bring? They just go away right? Yeah, right !

I really hope there will be a sequel ! It would be nice to win that double pack.

    Thanks !

    • Wow!!! I love your words 😀 I also think that about those movies. Shyamalan is for me a legend.

    • Well said Johanne, too bad the neo fans of the show did not see your views of the movie. Hopefully there will be a sequel and more adventures.

  3. I’ve always been a big M. Night supporter — I even bought The Happening. I will not be buying The Last Airbender.
