The Sixth Sense on AFI’s 100 Years, 100 Films

It’s the 10th Anniversary of AFI’s 100 Years, 100 Films, and to commemorate the occasion, they made films released from 1996-2006 eligible for inclusion.  The Sixth Sense has been voted onto the list.  It came in at number 89.

Other films from those years appearing on the list are: “Titanic” (#83), “Saving Private Ryan” (#71)  and “Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring” (#50).

  1. Yeah, Titanic had a major effect on the film industry. Not only were the production values very high, but for months it was making around $20 million every weekend. Artistically, James Cameron's work is very good, regardless of the love story. I'm sure that nearly every film on the list will have it's detractors.

  4. It's hard to think of anything more deserving. T6S is a masterpiece of acting, storytelling, writing etc. etc.
