Eleven Little Indians was a very different kind of Shyamalan television story. Announced in 2016 as an animated comedy project for Fox with writer-producer Alex Carter, it focused on three branches of a large Indian family: one living the American dream, one newly arrived in the United States, and one that had gone off the rails.

That setup mattered because it showed Shyamalan attached to something looser, more family-driven, and more openly comedic than the work people usually associate with him. But it also never became a finished television series. The project was announced in development and then faded without becoming an aired show with episodes, seasons, or a broadcast life of its own.
