Remain is set for theatrical release on February 5, 2027.
The project first landed with a fall 2026 release plan before moving closer to Valentine’s Day 2027. That move feels revealing. It suggests Warner Bros. sees the romantic side of the film as a real part of the sell, not just a secondary texture around the thriller material.
Release-date shifts can mean many things, but this one reads less like panic and more like placement. A movie co-created by Shyamalan and Nicholas Sparks was always going to occupy an unusual lane. Moving it into early February gives it a chance to feel a little more distinct, especially if the final film leans as hard into love, loss, and longing as the current setup suggests it might.
Earlier coverage can be found in the Remain archive, including the original fall 2026 announcement and the later move into 2027.
