M. Night Shyamalan Open To An Airbender Sequel

M.Night Shyamalan just talked to MTV during a press junket for the first of his Night Chronicle thrillers DEVIL, Shyamalan was asked whether he thought a sequel might ever see the greenlight.

“I don’t know because there are so many factors they take into account,” answered the director, adding, ”I guess it will get into an area where it becomes a discussion — like pros and cons,” he added. “Should we make ‘Transformers 8?’ — that kind of conversation.”

With another two Night Chronicle’s movies planned, which he will conceive and produce though not write or direct, Shyamalan is very much focused on his thrillers. He would, however, be open to returning to the saga.

“Really, I’m just writing my next thriller, and if I get the call, that would be great.”

  2. I believe that he is still traumatize of all the hate and anger from people who hate his films. Hopefully he will gather all his CHI to make the sequel much better from the first. So every hater when they see book 2 will suck M. Nigth’s @#lls.

  3. Guys on Moviefone, the last airbender is one of the top 10 movies of the summer. We did it, the movie survive the storm of hate.

  4. This movie is so much better than Transformers 2, Clash of the titans, G.I. Joe and the Twilight Saga, and I have seen it 3 times!
I really hope that Shyamalan make the sequels!!!! I can’t wait for them

  5. I don’t think that Devil will become a great hit, but I’m sure that it will be a moderate succes and will receive very positive reviews. Great for Shyamalan.

  6. I loved The Last Airbender. My fiance loves the cartoon and I just started getting into it, so we rented the movie and I thought it was great! They have to make a sequal! There is more to the story that wasn’t finished and it ended as though there was going to be another part to it. I think the people that didn’t like it just didn’t understand the story line. If I hadn’t seen the cartoon I may not have liked it.
