Signs Network TV Premiere on ABC

Signs will make its network TV premiere this Saturday (March 25, 2006) on ABC 8/7c.

M. Night Shyamalan’s 2002 box-office success stars Mel Gibson, Joaquin Phoenix, Rory Culkin, Abigail Breslin and Cherry Jones.

As Signs opens, strange occurrences are taking place in the lives of the Hess family. Rev. Graham Hess (Mel Gibson) and his brother, Merrill (Joaquin Phoenix), are awakened one night by dogs barking and find the Reverend’s children, Bo (Abigail Breslin) and her brother, Morgan (Rory Culkin), roaming the corn fields. What they discover next seems inexplicable: Patterns of perfectly carved crop circles left the night before. Graham discounts the media frenzy of town’s television and radio broadcasts, as he attempts to learn the source of the mysterious designs. But he’ll have to keep his wits about him to get his family through the series of bizarre and dangerous events that ensue.

Signs was a box-office and critical success earning over $227 million in the U.S. and $408 million worldwide. Celebrate its network TV premiere in High Definition this Saturday on ABC.

  2. I think this is a good thing.
    2 reasons why.
    NUMBER ONE:
It will be broadcast in HD.
Some people don't think it is much better than dvd's, but it is. it can be as much as 3 to 6 times the resolution of a standard TV (depends on how nice of a hdtv you buy, there are 2 kinds).
    NUMBER TWO:
People who are watching this for the first time, which could be a lot. (people like watching free movies on tv)
they might like the movie and begin to check out other M. Night movies!

  4. Awesome! I'm glad you enjoyed the film. I recommend watching the DVD version. There are some things that ABC cut out for time purposes. Hope you enjoy the rest of Nights films as well 🙂
